Kansas City Rockhouse

The goal of this show is to pay homage to the progenitors of rock n soul music. It features “roots” music going back to the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s.  It is a mix of post WWII jump blues like Wynonie Harris, Roy Brown and so forth, with rock n roll, doo wop, rock a billy, soul, swamp pop, with occasional outbursts of zydeco and jazz. The emphasis is on music which made people want to move their bodies!
