This is the KKFI jazz calendar for April 21st – April 27th. This is shared for the benefit of jazz music lovers. Please check with the music venues to confirm details of the events. All times are Central Standard Time. All performances are afternoon or evening shows except where indicated with words like “noon” or “brunch.” 

Monday, April 21st

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18^th and Grand presents the Brian Baggett Trio from 6:00 – 10:00 followed by The Mark Slimm Organ Duo, 10:30 to 2:30  
• Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street presents The Emily Dix Collective from 6:30 – 9:30. 
• The Blue Room Monday Night Jam Session starts at 7:00 pm and is hosted by Mike Pagan. Musicians bring your axe.

• The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents Mike Moreland from 6:00-9:00PM
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has The Peter Schlamb Duo from 6-10.

Tuesday April 22nd

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents the Matt Hopper Trio from 6:00 – 10:00, followed by The Jeff Shirley Trio from 10:30PM-2:30AM
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has The Emily Dix Duo from 6-10.
• Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street presents the Tim Reid Trio from 6:30 – 9:30. 
• The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents Matt Villinger from 6:00-9:00PM
• The 1909 Club in Lee’s Summit features the Lee’s Summit Jazz Orchestra from 6:00-9:00PM
• The Phoenix at 8th and Central hosts a jam session with Rob Trib III from 7 – 11pm. Musicians bring your ax
• The Uptown Lounge at 34^th and Main presents David Basse Jazz every Tuesday from 7:00 – 10:00
• The Blue Room presents The UMKC student combos at 6:00 pm  
• Café Trio at 4558 Main features Michael Pagan from 5:00 – 8:00

Wednesday, April 23rd

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents Ken Lovern’s OJT From 6:00 – 11:00  followed by The Reyes Brothers Organ Trio from 11:30-2:30.

• The Majestic at 931 Broadway has the Eddie Moore Trio from 6:00-9:00PM
• Eddie V’s, 700 West 47th Street features the Charles Williams Trio from 6:30-9:30PM
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has The Jackie Myers Duo from 6-10.
• Lifted Spirits Distillery at 1734 Cherry St  has a Jazz Jam hosted by Trombonist Marcus Lewis every Wednesday from 7 – 11 ( age  21+ )
• The Blue Room presents The UMKC student and faculty combos at 6:00 pm  
• The 1909 Club in Lee’s Summit presents the Blues Experience with Nick Schnebelen  from 7 – 10:00 pm
• Café Trio features Mark Lowrey from 5:00-8:00PM 
• The Voo Lounge at 1214 Baltimore has a Jazz Jam led by the Michael Pagan Trio from 7 – 11.  Instrumentalists and Vocalists are welcome to sit in.
• The Phoenix at 8th and Central has Curls of Oz w/ Shelby Winfrey from 7:00-11:00PM    
• Westport Coffee House Theater presents guitarist Rob Whitsitt at 6:00PM

Thursday, April 24th

• The Green Lady Lounge presents Ken Loverns OJT from 6:00 – 10:00, The RSS Trio  from 10:30- 2:30. Downstairs in the Orion Room Danny Embrey’s Trio plays from 7:30-10:30PM followed by The Sam Platt Trio from 11:00-2:00am
• The Black Dolphin has The Tim Whitmer Quartet  from 6:30 –9:30 followed by the Dawson Jones Vibes Trio until 1:00AM
• Corvino Supper Club features Eddie Moore on piano from 5:30 – 8 followed by live music from 5:30-10:30 
• The Blue Room has the Indigo Hour featuring The Band Oasis at 5:30, and then it’s Chris Hazelton’s Boogaloo 7 at 8:30- 10:00

• The Mutual Musicians Foundation in the historic 18th and Vine district Hosts its legendary late night jam sessions from 1-5am. 

Saturday, April 26th and Sunday April 27th

• The Green Lady Lounge presents Dawson Jones at 11:15 AM Saturday followed by the Rod Fleeman Trio from 2:30-5:30,  then it’s Ken Lovern’s OJT playing from 6:00-10:00 followed by The RSS Trio from 10:30 to 2:30. Danny Embrey’s Trio plays downstairs from 7:30 – 10:30, followed by the Brian Ward Organ Trio 11:00-2:00. Sunday the Green Lady features Wire Town from 6:00-9:00Pm and then the Mark Slimm Duo from 9:30PM -2:30AM
• The Black Dolphin has the Tim Whitmer Quartet from 6:30 – 9:30 followed by Alex Abramovitz until 1:00AM
• Corvino Supper Club is closed Saturday and features Jeff Freling from 6:30 -9:00 PM on Sunday. 
• The Blue Room presents The Darryl White Quartet at 8:30 pm on Saturday. 
• Sullivan’s in Leawood has the Saturday Night Trio every Saturday from 6:00 – 9:00.
• Eddie V’s presents the Jackie Myers Trio from 6:30 to 10:30 and Sunday it’s the Charles Williams Trio from 6:00-9:00
