KKFI Jazz calendar for December 2 – December 8

 This is the KKFI jazz calendar for December 2nd – December 8th. This is shared for the benefit of jazz music lovers. Please check with the music venues to confirm details of the events. All times are Central Standard Time. All performances are afternoon or evening shows except where indicated with words like “noon” or “brunch.”

Monday, December 2nd

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18^th and Grand presents the Brian Baggett Trio from 6:00 – 10:00 followed by The Mark Slimm Organ Trio, 10:30 to 2:30  

    Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street features the Emily Dix Collective from 6:30 – 9:30.

• The Blue Room Monday Night Jam Session starts at 7:00 pm and is hosted by the Louis Neal Big Band featuring Bobby Watson.

The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents Mike Pagan from 6:00 to 9:00

• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has live music from 6-10.

Tuesday December 3rd

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents the Jeff Shirley Trio from 6:00 – 10:00, followed by The Reyes Brothers Organ Trio from 10:30 to 2:30 am
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has live music from 6-10.
• Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street presents the Tim Reid Trio from 6:30 – 9:30. 
• The Majestic at 931 Broadway has Matt Villinger from 6:00-9:00
• The Phoenix at 8th and Central hosts a jam session with Rob Trib III from 7 – 11pm. Musicians bring your ax
• The Uptown Lounge hosts a  Jam Session with Parker Woolworth, Jordan Faught and Julian Goff from 7 – Midnight
• Café Trio at 4558 Main features Michael Pagan from 5:00 – 8:00

Wednesday, December 4th

The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents Ken Lovern’s OJT  from 6:00 – 11:00  followed by The Reyes Brothers Organ Trio from 11:30-2:30. The Majestic at 931 Broadway features the Peter Schlamb Trio from 6:00- 9:00. 

• Eddie V’s, 700 West 47th Street, has the Charles Williams Trio from 6:30 – 9:30.
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has live music from 6-10.
• Café Trio features Mark Lowrey from 5:00-8:00PM 
• The Voo Lounge at 1214 Baltimore has  a Jazz Jam led by the Michael Pagan Trio from 7 – 11.  Instrumentalists and Vocalists are welcome to sit in.
• The Westport Coffee House at 4010 PENNSYLVANIA presents Brown Shoe Tuxedo at 6pm                                                             
• The Phoenix at 8th and Central has Curlz of Oz from 7 – 11pm

Thursday, December 5^th

• The Blue Room has its Jazz at Noon Series on Thursday featuring vocalist David Watson at Noon
• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents Ken Loverns OJT from 6:00-8:00, Guitar Elation from 8:00-11:00PM and the Dawson Jones Vibes and Organ Trio from 11:30-2:30AM. In The Orion Room is the Jeff Shirley Trio from 9:00-12:00
• The Majestic presents the Eddie Moore Trio from 6:00-9:00
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has live music from 6-10.
• Sullivans feature the DJE Trio from 6:00-9:00PM
• The Hey Hey Club features live music at 7:00PM
• Johnnies in Liberty features Lauren Ashley at 6:30PM
• Westport Coffee House Theater Presents Henry Scamurra starting at 6:00PM

Friday, December 6th

• The Majestic presents Dawson Jones upstairs from 5:30 to 9:00.  Downstairs in the Jazz Club it’s The Matt Villinger Trio from 6:00 to 10:00 
• Eddie V’s, 700 West 47th Street, presents Eclipse from 6:30 – 10:30.
• The Green Lady Lounge presents Ken Lovern’s OJT from 6:00 – 10:00, The RSS Trio  from 10:30- 2:30. Downstairs in the Orion Room Danny Embrey’s Trio plays  from 7:30 – 10:30 followed with the Matt Hopper trio 11:00-12:00
• The Black Dolphin has The Tim Whitmer Quartet  from 6:30 – 9:30 followed by Live Music from 10:00-1:00 am 
• Corvino Supper Club features Jackie Myers from 5:30-8:00 and then its the Jackie Myers Trio from 8:30 – 10:30
• The Blue Room has the Indigo Hour featuring Darron J and The Go Hard Band at 5:30, followed by Warren Wolf and Friends at 8:30 and 10:00 pm
• Stock Hill at 4800 Main presents Emily Dix from 8 – 11
• Johnnies in the Power and Light District has Heather Newman and Ryan Matthew 6:30-10:30
• Johnnies in Liberty presents Rudy Amato from 6:30-10:30
• The 1909 Club in Lee’s Summit features The Havillah Bruders Trio from 6:00 – 10:00

• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has live music from 6-10.
• Sullivan’s in Leawood has the Max Groove Duo from 6:00 – 9:00.
• The Market at Meadowbrook at 4901 Meadowbrook Parkway has Joey Panella from 4:30 – 7:00 
• Lonnie’s Reno Club at 1111 Grand features Lonnie McFadden from 7- 9 pm
• Café Trio features live music from 5:00-8:00PM
• The Shop Cigar Lounge in Kansas City Kansas presents live music from 8 – 10
• The Phoenix  has live music from 4:30PM-1:00AM
• The Mutual Musicians Foundation in the historic 18th and Vine district Hosts its legendary late night jam sessions from 1-5am. 

Saturday,December 7^th and Sunday December 8th

• The Green Lady Lounge presents the Rod Fleeman Trio Saturday from 2:30-5:30,  Then its Ken Lovern’s OJT playing from 6:00-10:00 followed by The RSS Trio from 10:30 to 2:30. Danny Embrey’s Trio plays downstairs from 7:30 – 10:30, followed by the Jeff Shirley Trio 11:00-2:00. Sunday the Green Lady features the Matt Hopper trio from 6:00-9:00 pm followed by the Mark Slimm Trio 9:30 -2:00AM
• The Black Dolphin has The Tim Whitmer Quartet  from 6:30 – 9:30 followed by more live music
•  Corvino Supper Club features Angela Ward from 5:30 – 8:00 followed by The Ward Band from 8:30 -10:30 PM on Saturday.  Sunday it’s the Mark Lowrey Quartet 7-9:30pm
• The Blue Room presents The Jazz Disciples. Shows at 8:30 – 11:00 Saturday. 
• Sullivan’s in Leawood has the Saturday Night Trio every Saturday from 6:00 – 9:00.
• Eddie V’s presents live music Saturday from 6:30 to 10:30 and Sunday more Live Music from 6:00-9:00
• The Majestic on Saturday presents Dawson Jones upstairs from 5:30-9:00, downstairs in the Jazz Club its the Brant Jester from 6:00 – 10:00.  On  Sunday, Peter Schlamb will be performing from 6:00-9:00
• KC Bier Company features Bram Wijnands Saturday and Sunday from 3:00-5:00

• The Phoenix features The Piaget Experience from 4:30 – 8:30  folloed by live music till 1:00AM.  Sunday it’s Millie Edwards and Dan Sturdevant playing the Phoenix brunch from 10:00AM – 12:00 
• Café Trio  features Mike Moreland Saturday from 6:00 – 9:00   
• The Mutual Musicians Foundation in the historic 18th and Vine district Hosts its legendary late night jam sessions 1-5am Sat
• Sunday at the Westport Coffee House is the band  Big 2 Fail at 6:00 PM
