This is the KKFI jazz calendar for February 17th – February 23rd. This is shared for the benefit of jazz music lovers. Please check with the music venues to confirm details of the events. All times are Central Standard Time. All performances are afternoon or evening shows except where indicated with words like “noon” or “brunch.” 

Monday, February 17th

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18^th and Grand presents the Brian Baggett Trio from 6:00 – 10:00 followed by The Mark Slimm Organ Trio, 10:30 to 2:30  
• Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street presents the Emily Dix Trio from 6:30 – 9:30. 
• The Blue Room Monday Night Jam Session starts at 7:00 pm and is hosted by  Eboni Fondren. Musicians bring your axe
• The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents Michael Pagan from 6:00-9:00PM

• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has The Peter Schlamb Duo from 6-10.

Tuesday February 18th

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents the Matt Hopper Band from 6:00 – 10:00, followed by the Jeff Shirley Trio from 10:30PM-2:30AM
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has The Bryan Hicks Duo from 6-10.
• Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street presents the Tim Reid Trio from 6:30 – 9:30. 
• The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents Matt Villinger from 6:00-9:00PM
• The Phoenix at 8th and Central hosts a jam session with Rob Trib III from 7 – 11pm. Musicians bring your ax
• The Uptown Lounge has David Basse Jazz from 7 – 10 pm
• Café Trio at 4558 Main features Michael Pagan from 5:00 – 8:00

Wednesday, February 19th

The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents Ken Lovern’s OJT From 6:00 – 11:00  followed by Matt Hopper Trio from 11:30-2:30.

• Eddie V’s, 700 West 47th Street features the Charles Williams Trio from 6:30-9:30PM
• The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents the Eddie Moore Trio from 6:00-9:00PM

• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway features The Chloe McFadden Duo from 6-10.
• Café Trio features Mark Lowrey from 5:00-8:00PM 
• The Voo Lounge at 1214 Baltimore has  a Jazz Jam led by the Michael Pagan Trio from 7 – 11.  Instrumentalists and Vocalists are welcome to sit in.
• The 1909 Club in Lee’s Summit features The Blues Experience with Nick Schnebelen from 7-10:00 pm
• The Westport Coffee House Theater at 4010 Pennsylvania presents Stan Kessler’s Horacescope at 6:00PM

Thursday, February 20th

 The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents Ken Lovern’s OJT from 6:00-8:00, Guitar Elation 8:00-11:00, followed by The  Mark Slimm Duo from 11:30PM-2:30AM.

Friday, February 21st

• The Majestic presents Peter Schlamb upstairs from 5:30 to 9:00.  Downstairs in the Jazz Club it’s The Roger Wilder Trio from 6:00 to 10:00 
• Eddie V’s, 700 West 47th Street, presents Eclipse from 6:30 – 10:30.
• The Green Lady Lounge presents the Ken Lovern’s OJT from 6:00 – 8:00 followed by The RSS Trio  from 10:30- 2:30. Downstairs in the Orion Room, Danny Embrey’s Trio plays from 7:30-10:30PM Followed by the Sam Platt Trio from 11:00-2:00AM
• The Black Dolphin has The Tim Whitmer Quartet  from 6:30 – 9:30 followed by Live Music from 9:45 until 1:00
• Corvino Supper Club features Eddie Moore from 5:30-8:00 and then it’s the Brandon Draper Quartet from 8:30 – 10:30
• The Blue Room has the Indigo Hour featuring Robert Owens at 5:00, followed by the Will Matthews 4-tet from 8:30 and 10:00 pm
• Stock Hill at 4800 Main has vocalist Emily Dix from 8 – 11
• The 1909 Club features Kevin “Church” Johnson from 6:00-10:00PM

• Sullivan’s features the Max Groove Duo from 6:00-9:00PM
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has The Brian Ruskin Duo 6-10.
• The Market at Meadowbrook at 4901 Meadowbrook Parkway Features Clayton DeLong from 4:30 – 6:30 

• Lonnie’s Reno Club at 1111 Grand features Lonnie McFadden from 7- 9 pm
•       Café Trio features live music from 5:00-8:00PM
• The Shop Cigar Lounge in Kansas City Kansas presents A Night with Baby J  from 8 – 10
• The Phoenix  has Talya and her Boyfriends from 4:30PM – 8:30 and then it’s Marlin Cortez from 9 until 1:00AM
• The Mutual Musicians Foundation in the historic 18th and Vine district Hosts its legendary late night jam sessions from 1-5am. 

Saturday, February 22nd and Sunday February 23rd

• The Green Lady Lounge presents the Rod Fleeman Trio Saturday from 2:30-5:30,  Then its Ken Lovern’s OJT playing from 6:00-10:00 followed by The RSS Trio from 10:30 to 2:30. Danny Embrey’s Trio plays downstairs from 7:30 – 10:30, followed by the Brian Ward Organ Trio 11:00-2:00. Sunday the Green Lady hosts  the Mark Slimm Trio from 9:30PM -2:30AM
• The Black Dolphin has Live Music from 6:30 – 9:30 followed by Alex Abramovitz until 1:00
• Corvino Supper Club features Angela Ward from 5:30 – 8:00 followed with The Ward Trio from 8:30 -10:30 PM on Saturday.  Sunday Corvino has the

           Kelly Grant Quartet from 6:30 – 9:00

• The Blue Room presents Kim Keys & Rock Solid at 8:30 – 11:00 Saturday. 
• Sullivan’s in Leawood has the Saturday Night Trio every Saturday from 6:00 – 9:00.
• Eddie V’s presents the Jackie Myers Trio from 6:30 to 10:30. On Sunday its

          the Charles Williams Trio from 6:00-9:00

• The Majestic on Saturday presents Eddie Moore upstairs from 5:30-9:00, downstairs in the Jazz Club its the Brant Jester from 6:00 – 10:00.  On  Sunday Brant Jester will be performing from 6:00-9:00
• KC Bier Company features Bram Wijnands Saturday and Sunday from 3:00-5:00 
•  The 1909 Club in Lee’s Summit has The MGD’s Saturday from 6 – 10:00 pm

• The Phoenix features The Piaget Experience from 4:30 – 8:30  followed by Big Luke and the Soul Disciples until 1:00AM.  Sunday it’s Millie Edwards and Dan Sturdevant playing the Phoenix brunch from 10:00AM – 2:00 PM
• Café Trio  features Mike Moreland Saturday from 6:00 – 9:00   
• The Mutual Musicians Foundation in the historic 18th and Vine district Hosts its legendary late night jam sessions 1-5am Sat
