This is the KKFI jazz calendar for March 3rd – March 9th. This is shared for the benefit of jazz music lovers. Please check with the music venues to confirm details of the events. All times are Central Standard Time. All performances are afternoon or evening shows except where indicated with words like “noon” or “brunch.” Monday, March 3rd

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18^th and Grand presents the Brian Baggett Trio from 6:00 – 10:00 followed by The Mark Slimm Organ Duo, 10:30 to 2:30  

               Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street features the Emily Dix Collective from 6:30 – 9:30.

• The Blue Room Monday Night Jam Session starts at 7:00 pm and is hosted by vocalist Millie Edwards. Musicians bring your axe

       The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents Mike Pagan from 6:00 to 9:00

• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has The Chloe McFadden Duo from 6-10.

Tuesday March 4th

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents the Matt Hopper Band from 6:00 – 10:00, followed by Jeff Shirley Trio from 10:30PM-2:30AM
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has The Brian Ruskin Duo from 6-10.
• Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street presents the Tim Reid Trio from 6:30 – 9:30. 
• The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents Matt Villinger from 6:00-9:00PM
• The Phoenix at 8th and Central hosts a jam session with Rob Trib III from 7 – 11pm. Musicians bring your ax
• The 1909 Club in Lee’s Summit features the Lee’s Summit Jazz Orchestra from 6:00-9:00PM
• The Uptown Lounge has David Basse from 7 – 10
• Café Trio at 4558 Main features Michael Pagan from 5:00 – 8:00

Wednesday, March 5th

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents Ken Loverns OJT From 6:00 – 11:00 followed by the Reyes Brothers until 2:30

 The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents the Peter Schlamb Trio from 6:00-9:00PM

• Eddie V’s, 700 West 47th Street features the Charles Williams Trio from 6:30-9:30PM
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has the Baby J Duo from 6-10.
• The Folly Theater at 12^th and Central presents a panel discussion of Women in the Kansas City Jazz Scene with Jackie Myers, Aryana Nemati, and Kara Smith at 6:00
• The Phoenix features Curls of Oz from 7:00-11:00PM
• Café Trio features Mark Lowrey from 5:00-8:00PM 
• The Voo Lounge at 1214 Baltimore has  a Jazz Jam led by the Michael Pagan Trio from 7 – 11.  Instrumentalists and Vocalists are welcome to sit in.
• The Westport Coffee House Theater Presents the J.J. Jamison Sextet at 6:00PM
• The 1909 Club features Nick Schnebelen from 7:00-10:00PM

Thursday, March 6th

• On Thursday at noon the Blue Room at 18^th and Vine features vocalist Kelley Gant
• The Ship at 1217 Union Avenue in the West Bottoms has Electric Tinks at 8:00
• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents Ken Loverns OJT from 6:00-8:00, Guitar Elation from 8:00-11:00PM, followed by Mark Slimm until 2:30
• The Majestic presents the Eddie Moore Trio from 6:00-9:00
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, has The Tim Reid Jr. Duo from 6-10

• Eddie V’s, 700 West 47th Street, presents Eclipse from 6:30 – 10:30.
• The Green Lady Lounge presents Ken Loverns OJT from 6:00 – 10:00, The RSS Trio  from 10:30- 2:30. Downstairs in the Orion Room Danny Embrey’s Trio plays from 7:30-10:30PM Followed by the Sam Platt Organ Trio from 11:00-2:00AM
• The Black Dolphin has Live Music starting at 6:30
• Corvino Supper Club features Parker Woolworth from 5:30-8:00 and then it’s the Ben Leifer Trio from 8:30 – 10:30
• The Blue Room has the Indigo Hour featuring Lady D at 5:30 followed with Eboni Fondren and  Bukeka Blakemore with shows at 8:30 and 10:00 pm
• Stock Hill at 4800 Main has live music from 8 – 11
• The 1909 Club features Kevin “Church” Johnson from 6:00-10:00PM
• Johnnies in the Power & Light presents Delynia Jannell from 6:30-10:30

• Johnnies in Liberty presents Hot Club KC from 6:30-10:30

• Lonnie’s Reno Club at 1111 Grand features Lonnie McFadden from 7- 9 pm
• Café Trio features live music from 5:00-8:00PM
• The Shop Cigar Lounge in Kansas City Kansas presents live music from 8 – 10
• The Phoenix  has Talya and her Boyfriends from 4:30PM – 8:30 and Carlton Rashad to follow until 1:00AM
• The Mutual Musicians Foundation in the historic 18th and Vine district Hosts its legendary late night jam sessions from 1-5am. 

Saturday, March 8th and Sunday March 9th

• The Green Lady Lounge presents Dawson Jones at 11:15 Saturday morning followed by the Rod Fleeman Trio from 2:30-5:30.  Then it’s Ken Lovern’s OJT playing from 6:00-10:00 followed by The RSS Trio from 10:30 to 2:30. Danny Embrey’s Trio plays downstairs from 7:30 – 10:30, followed by the Brian Ward Organ Trio from 11:00-2:00. Sunday the Green Lady features the Reyes Brothers at 6:00 followed by the Mark Slimm Duo from 9:30PM -2:00AM
• The Black Dolphin has Tim Whitmer  from 6:30 – 9:30 followed by Alex Abramovitz
• Corvino Supper Club features Andrew Wray from 5:30 – 8:00 followed by Jackie Myers from 8:30 -10:30 PM on Saturday.  Sunday Corvino presents Jamie Anderson from 6:30 – 9:00
• The Blue Room presents Bea Gray with shows at 8:30 and 10:00 Saturday.
