KKFI Jazz calendar for November 4 – November 10

This is the KKFI jazz calendar for November 4th – November 10th. This is shared for the benefit of jazz music lovers. Please check with the music venues to confirm details of the events. All times are Central Standard Time. All performances are afternoon or evening shows except where indicated with words like “noon” or “brunch.”

Monday, November 4th 

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18^th and Grand presents the Brian Baggett Trio from 6:00 – 10:00 followed by The Mark Slimm Organ Trio, 10:30 to 2:30  

    Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street features the Emily Dix Collective from 6:30 – 9:30.

• The Blue Room Monday Night Jam Session starts at 7:00 pm and is hosted by the Ernest Melton. Musicians, bring your axe!

The Majestic at 931 Broadway presents Mike Pagan from 6:00 to 9:00

• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway, features Live music from 6-10.

Tuesday November 5th

• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents the Jeff Shirley Trio from 6:00 – 10:00 followed by The Reyes Brothers Organ Trio from 10:30 to 2:30am  
• Grant Hall at UMKC features student jazz ensembles at 7:30
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway features live music from 6:00 – 10:00. 
• Eddie V’s at 700 West 47th Street features the Tim Reid Trio from 6:30 – 9:30. 
• The Majestic at 931 Broadway has Drew Madden from 6:00-9:00
• The Phoenix at 8th and Central hosts a jam session with Rob Trib III from 7 – 11pm. Musicians bring your ax

• The Uptown Lounge hosts a  Jam Session with Parker Woolworth, Jordan Faught and Julian Goff from 7 – Midnight
• Café Trio at 4558 Main features Michael Pagan from 5:00 – 8:00

Wednesday, Novemnber 6th 

The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents Ken Lovern’s OJT  from 6:00 – 11:00  followed by The Reyes Brothers Organ Trio from 11:30-2:30

• Café Trio features Mark Lowrey from 5:00-8:00PM 

• The Voo Lounge at 1214 Baltimore has  a Jazz Jam led by the Michael Pagan Trio from 7 – 11.  Instrumentalists and Vocalists are welcome to sit in.                                                             
• The Phoenix at 8th and Central presents Curlz of Oz from 7 – 11pm

Thursday, November 7th

• On Thursday at Noon is a concert at the Blue Room featuring Charles Williams
• The Green Lady Lounge at 18th and Grand presents  Ken Lovern’s OJT from 6:00-8:00,  Guitar Elation 8:00-11:00, and the Dawson Jones Vibe and Organ Trio from 11:30 – 2:00.  Downstairs the Jeff Shirley Trio plays from 9:00 – midnight
• The Majestic at 931 Broadway features The Matt Villinger Trio from 6:00-9:00 
• Chaz at the Raphael Hotel, at Wornall and Ward Parkway features live music from 6:00-10:00

Friday, November 8th

• The Majestic presents pianist Peter Schlamb upstairs from 5:30 to 9:00.  Downstairs in the Jazz Club it’s The Matt Villenger Trio from 6:00 to 10:00 
• Eddie V’s presents Eclipse from 6:30 – 9:30.
• The Green Lady Lounge presents Ken Lovern’s OJT from 6:00 – 10:00, The RSS Trio  from 10:30-12:00 followed by the RSS Trio from 12:00-2:30.  Danny Embrey’s Trio plays the Orion Room from 7:30 – 10:30, followed with the Stan Bock Trio from 11:00-2:30am
• The Black Dolphin has The Tim Whitmer Quartet  from 6:30 – 9:30 followed by Live Music from 10:00-1:00 am 
• Corvino Supper Club features Adam Schlozman from 5:30-8:00 and then its the Ben Leifer Trio from 8:30 – 10:30
• The Blue Room has the Indigo Hour featuring Just A Touch of Jazz at 5:00, followed by Lady D with shows at 8:30 & 10:00
• KC Bier Company features The Jackie Myers trio at 6:00 pm
• Stock Hill at 4800 Main features live music from 8 – 11
• Johnnies in the Power and Light District has Anna Lee from 6:30-10:30
• Johnnies in Liberty presents Arnesto J Band from 6:30-10:30

Saturday, November 9th & Sunday, November 10th  

• The Green Lady Lounge presents the Rod FleemanTrio Saturday from 2:30-5:30.  Then its Ken Lovern’s OJT playing from 6:00-10:00 followed by The RSS Trio from 10:30 to 2:30. Danny Embrey’s Trio plays downstairs from 7:30 – 10:30, followed with The Brian Ward Trio 11:00-2:00. Sunday the Green Lady features Wire Town from 6:00 to 9:00 and The Mark Slimm Trio from 9:30 – 2:30
• The Black Dolphin has The Tim Whitmer Quartet  from 6:30 – 9:30 followed by More live music until 1:00 am
