After her mother, Viviana Frias-Medellin, retired from the show in December 2019, Monica McGhee became one of the co-hosts alongside Tommy Andrade. After some time away, she rejoined the Taste of Tejano in April 2024.
Monica works full-time as an Implementation Analyst at The University of Kansas Health System. She enjoys antiquing and spending time with her three adult children.
