Una Nowling was co-producer of Every Woman from January 2018 until June 2022. In September 2020 she was co-producer of the Tenth Voice, KKFI’s weekly program on LGBTQIA rights and issues, but resigned as a co-producer December 31, 2022. She assist both programs by substituting for board operators, filling in topics, assisting the producer Fiona Nowling, and has not left the station! She sometimes appears late at night as DJ Nightshade, the dark mistress of Goth music, and also substitutes on various music and public affairs programs where needed.
In April 2016 she was elected to the KKFI Board of Directors for a 3-year term. In April 2017 she was elected to be Vice President of the Board of Directors of KKFI, and in April 2018 she was elected as President of 90.1 FM KKFI, where she served until January 1, 2020. She resigned in from the Board of Directors in January 2022.

Since 1989, The Tenth Voice radio show has documented and informed the LGBTQIA+ Kansas City Community.
