A Native American School Shooting

On October 24, 2014, 15-year-old native American freshman student, Jaylen Fryberg, shot five other students at Marysville Pilchuck High School, in the state of Washington. He fatally wounded four, before fatally shooting himself.

Radio Curious interviews Jerome Edge, a DJ and Native American hip-hop activist from KSVR Radio in Mt. Vernon Washington, about the High School shooting. Edge is from the same tribal community and he explains the different approach his community took in handling the situation, based on Native American life and values.
