Afghan Girls’ Education

On March 10, 2019, Gharsanay IbnulAmeen became the youngest recipient of the Woman of Distinction Award from NGO-CSW New York and gave the keynote at a Consultation attended by hundreds of representatives from nongovernmental organizations from around the world. Her speech described her work to spread appreciation across Afghanistan for the importance of girls’ education, to train girls to be trainers for this work, and to bring together the multi-ethnic communities in Afghanistan. Her talk was followed by a performance by PoeTree.
