The Tasty Brew
“The Tasty Brew” is an eclectic mix of roots music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the American musical melting pot.
Which is just a fancy, schmancy way of saying a lot of this week’s music on the Tasty Brew is coming to you via the Public Library’s music archives. This is community radio after all. Your Tasty Brew host, Diana Linn, supplies the music from her own collection on her own dime (as do all of the KKFI DJs) and sometimes it’s nice to dip into the bounty of the public well. One must dig through the Country, Folk, Rock and Miscellaneous categories to find the Americana/Bluegrass/Roots nuggets but they are there. This week’s episode will feature the likes of Tasty Brew favorites Emmylou Harris, Kasey Chambers, Ry Cooder, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Corb Lund and Old Crow Medicine Show.
