The series kicks off on 6/10/23, with a groundbreaking immersive digital art pop-up that showcases the incredible talents of award-winning artists and a Grammy-nominated DJ The inaugural Second Saturdays in West Bottoms event will feature an impressive lineup of artists, including International Blue Chip artist PaperBuddha,as well as a laser light install from LazerLew. Digital artists k8te, vlaneART, and Lezul will also be there. These creatives will be transforming the event space into a mesmerizing, interactive digital playground, where visitors can explore and engage with the stunning art installations. The event will be headlined by Kansas City native and now Chicago House DJ and composer Andrew Emil, who will deliver an electrifying live performance that promises to be unforgettable.

DigitalDreamsKC has pulled out all the stops, employing cutting-edge technology such as virtual reality, projection mapping, and holograms to bring the artists’ unique visions to life. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the art on a deeper level, unlocking hidden surprises and personalized experiences. The event is also the first NFT ticketed event presented by Sports Illustrated Tickets.

DR. PO SIM HEAD “FANNY”-Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Head received a doctorate degree in Piano performance and pedagogy at the University of Kansas under the instruction of Dr. Scott McBride
Smith. She completed her undergraduate degree in Music Composition and Production at Hong Kong Baptist University. Later she received her master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Musicology from the University of Missouri- Kansas City (UMKC).

Dr. Head has been active in academia, and she regularly submits proposals and
presents them at various events. She presented at various conferences, such as the
Music Teacher National Association, National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy,
Kansas Music Teacher Association, and College Music Society. She is an editor
assistant of the UK-based journal RAST Musicology as well as a writer at the online
magazine Interlude.hk. She works to discover and promote the work of lesser-known
musicians. She also has a strong passion for piano pedagogy. She has over 25 years of
teaching experience with students of all ages. In addition to her thriving private studio in
Kansas City, she serves as an adjunct instructor at Metropolitan Community College-
Kansas City. She is invited to judge in local and international competitions as well as an
active member of local music teacher associations who coordinates local music events.

In addition to her busy schedule between school, writing, and teaching, Dr. Head
is also active in performing on stage. Her performing footsteps include Southeast Asia,
Europe, Australia, and the United States. She is currently working on some recording
projects featuring piano works from Latin America.

JON CHITWOOD- Our Family, Our Farm. We’re Jon and Tricia Chitwood. Jon is the Chief Beekeeper, Shepherd, and Business Manager of The Farm. He earned his BA from the University of Kansas in Communication Studies. He’s now communicating with bees, sheep and Mother Earth. In 2009, Jon completed the Kauffman Foundation Fast Trac course in entrepreneurship. Jon is currently pursuing a master beekeeping certificate. As part of this effort, he completed the University o fNebraska’s master beekeeping course in 2010 and queen rearing course in 2011.

Tricia is the Chief Wordsmith and Child Wrangler. While her BA from KU is in Political Science and French, she hopes to apply her green thumb to The Farm and expand the flower and vegetable quotient. The kids include Reece and Matalyn. As The Farm expands, our hope is that each child will be alble to find something they enjoy to add to the family farm’s offerings.
