Jim creates fine art, and currently has an assemblage art show titled: foundArtNEWYORK at 2010 Gallery in the crossroads at 2010 Main, KCMO. Every object in each piece of foundArtNEWYORK was found in one of the five boroughs of New York. flea markets, street fairs, antique shops, thrift stores. Wood that makes up the frames were found in the Calvary Cemetery in Queens or under the Brooklyn Bridge. Tying each piece together is an authentic New York City subway map, and a description on the back tells where every object was found. In keeping with this theme Jim created another assemblage art show titled: foundArtKC, where every unique element was found in various scrap metal recycling plants around Kansas City and reused to recreate something new.
