ARTSPEAK RADIO presents, MINDDRIVE

Linda Buchner, President of MINDDRIVE and students, Victoria Mendez, Kelvin Duley, and Sandra Perez, join Maria in the studio to discuss MINDDRIVE.

MINDDRIVE is a revolution in education. It is an innovative afterschool program for high school students who are struggling to meet their full potential. Every Saturday for 32 weekends students come to MINDDRIVE to unlock possibilities and discover their talents. They meet with volunteer mentors and participate in one of two learning tracts: Automotive Design Studio or Contemporary Communications. In these classes Students discover the latest technology, build socially conscious cars, master the
marketing skills necessary to spread their message nationwide and develop life and career skills that give them the confidence that will take them to the next
level.

Linda Buchner is a mentor, entrepreneur, motivational speaker and the co-founder of MINDDRIVE, an organization that serves high school students struggling to meet their full potential. Through project-based learning and heavy mentor involvement, kids futures become brighter, their self-confidence is realized and opportunities abound.
KC Magazine named Linda one of the “2015 Influential Women of Kansas City Business.” and 2014 – 100 People Who Make Kansas City A Great Place To Live.

Victoria Mendez who just finished her freshman year at UCM, Kelvin Duley, who recently finished his sophomore year at Missouri Southern, and Sandra Perez who also just finished her sophomore year at Penn Valley Community College
