Have you ever wondered what happens on or off stage in the lives of performers? Musicians, singers, and songwriters share their amazing stories from night clubs, house concerts, backstage, performance space, or on the road that offers a slice of their lives seldom seen. Join us for stories where we’ll uncover the humorous, dramatic, life changing, touching, and mind blowing experiences from their view.
Producer/host Maria Vasquez Boyd welcomes singer Molly Hammer, musician/songwriter/DJ Jason Vivone, and jazz enthusiast/DJ/roadie, KC to share their stories live from the KKFI studio.
JASON VIVONE-The leader of Kansas City’s award winning band the Billy Bats, Jason Vivone hosts The Boogie Bridge on KKFI 90.1 FM Thursdays 4pm to 6 pm.
Originally from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Vivone had family in Kansas City that indulged his fever for blues and blues based music. “They would take me to record stores or whatever club they could sneak me into when I would visit. I’m proud to feature some of those same old records on the new program,” Vivone said.As a musician, Vivone has toured primarily in the Midwest and the South. As a recording artist, his music has been downloaded and played all over the world.

KC is a Kansas City native, and served in the military. KC grew up listening to all genres of music from swing to rock and roll. KC enriches your musical palette with tunes that speak to every generation, creed, color and ethnic background: jazz!

MOLLY HAMMER has been performing in the Kansas City area since 2005. With an eclectic vocal background, she has found her home in the world of jazz and blues, drawing inspiration from the likes of Peggy Lee, Dinah Washington, Sara Vaughn, and many others. She has had the privilege of performing with some of the finest jazz musicians in the Kansas City area. You can hear her regularly at The Green Lady Lounge. She can also be seen and heard at one of the many Unity Churches in the area nearly every Sunday. Molly is a graduate of the Artist INC program and has also had the honor of singing the National Anthem for both The Royals and The Chiefs.
