In addition to programming, we’re also planning a poetry anthology of Kansas City-metro area poets from both sides of the state line. The anthology is scheduled for release in spring of 2021. We’ve secured the following local poets to act as co-editors, with their primary duties being reviewing/selecting submissions and identifying a theme for the anthology: José Faus, Marianne Kunkel, and Glenn North. For more information, please view the recent blog post about the upcoming anthology. ELISE GAGLIARDI, KC Artists Critique Group mediator, this group was created to help coordinate meet up times and places for Kansas city artist to get peer critique. If you are interested in hosting a critique in your studio or business please let us know! You are also welcome to post art here for critique. Include medium and intent. We ask that you ONLY post work that you desire critique on, and let us know what specifically you’d like impute on. Please be respectful of other artists with constructive criticism and genuinely helpful remarks. Recent critique of Isaac Tapia’s work elicited his response, “Some of the things in my own painting that I have been meaning to resolve were basically resolved during the critique. Overall the feedback i was given was very productive for me and i am definitely going to try to incorporate some of the things that were shared with me.”

Elise is an experimental multi-media artist living, working, and raising 3 children in Kansas City. She uses photography, watercolor, cutouts, and fabric, addressing the complex nuances of motherhood, memory, nostalgia, remembrance, and dependency through visual storytelling. She studied photography and painting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She graduated and received her BFA in 2006.
