Producer/host Maria Vasquez Boyd welcomes musician/producer Nik D Douglas, American filmmaker, photographer, writer, and director Jason Piggie, and Urban Designer with Street Smarts Design DuRon Netsell.
Djet – Fusing music recording programming and acoustic elements, Djet unveils perspectives on life and love. Formed in 2018, Reveir Inferno & Nik Douglas explore the realization throughout extro- and introspective spectrums through ambient voice. Expressing these discoveries in the use of various styles of music, Djet creates both unique and familiar moments in each song, in turn, granting the listener freedom in newness and comfort.

JASON PIGGIE Writer/Director/Producer/Photographer/Cinematographer was born in Kansas City, MO. Graduating from the University of Missouri— Kansas City (UMKC) with a B.A. in communication, Piggie also attended Lincoln University where he further obtained a background in theater, photography, music and writing. Jason Piggie has written and directed 9 short films including ” Bad Dream”, ” Mattie’s Song”, ” Agent C” and “Domestic”. In 2009, Piggie won 1st place at the 3/5/7 Film Festival in the 5 Minute Category for his short film entitled, “The Stuff” and won 1st place at 2012 Arts KC best in show for the short film entitled “The Bum”, and a recipient of Rocket Grants Award in 2019. Jason Piggie currently lives in Kansas City Missouri, but has done some work in other parts of continental USA.

DU RON NETSELL My firm Street Smarts Design + Build, in partnership with the City of KCMO and Midtown KC now, have been awarded a $25k grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies for an asphalt art project at Westport Road and Wyandotte Street. We have just released an RFP seeking artists to complete 4 asphalt paintings as a part of the project.
