August Heat (from Suspense) [Rebroadcast]

[This is a rebroadcast of “August Heat” originally airing on KCART on October 22nd, 2021.]

Originally aired May of 1945, “August Heat” tells of the artist Withencroft who, struck by sudden inspiration, draws a picture of a criminal at his trial. Across town, the stonemason Atkinson carves a gravestone for a man who has yet to die. Although the men are unknown to each other, they each get a glimpse into the other’s future… but hopefully that future is not so set in stone.

Featuring John Rensenhouse, Victor Raider-Wexler, and Meredith Wolfe. Directed by Gary Heisserer with sound design and engineering by Mary Robinson.
