Roberts, a young Black entrepreneur, who started the Kinship Café (https://kinshipcafe.us/) in Kansas City, Kansas. “There’s a void in seeing black people be owners of businesses. I don’t see a lot of black business owners, so I wanted to be one.” And so, T.J. did. In Part 2, Leslie interviews Tom Esselman of “Connecting for Good” (https://www.kcdigitaldrive.org/project/connecting-for-good/), a nonprofit in Kansas City solely dedicated to digital inclusion, providing wireless mesh networks, community technology centers, low-cost refurbished PCs and free digital life skills classes.
