Jaws of Justice Radio investigates how we can achieve justice from a system of laws deeply rooted in economic, social and political inequality. We want to dispel misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system. We hope you will listen.
Jaws of Justice will play Episode 5 of Corruption Uncovered, a podcast series created by Team Roc. Episode 5, entitled “Our sons, the Ones Wrongfully Killed and the Ones Wrongfully Convicted, tells the story of Doniel Quinn, a victim of murder that KCKPD Detective Roger Golubski pinned on an innocent man, Lamonte McIntyre. In Episode 5, host Josie Duffy Rice speaks with Doniel’s mother, Saundra Newsom.
The podcast shares stories of the women, the police department and the community of Kansas City, Kansas. According to dozens of women, Roger Golubski, a detective with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, raped, assaulted and stalked them – for years. After decades of secrecy and fear, he was scheduled to face trial in Federal Court, charged with assault, rape and kidnapping and accused of much more. But Golubski’s trial, scheduled for December 2, 2024, never began. We grapple with the questions left in the wake of his death. How could someone prey on so many people without consequence? Who else knew? How, if at all, can people be made whole? And what happens now?
Hosted by Josie Duffy Rice from Roc Nation and its philanthropic and justice division, Team Roc, Corruption Uncovered was produced by Pineapple Street Studios. Roc Nation is an American entertainment company founded by Jay-Z in 2008 and headquartered in New York City. They have generously shared this series with Jaws of Justice.
