Join us as we travel across the globe and experience flamenco with Siento y Vivo Flamenco live online from the stage of the community room at the Midwest Genealogy Center. Siento y Vivo Flamenco combines traditional and cutting-edge flamenco singing, music and dance. Flamenco is a centuries old art form that embraces the exchange of new ideas and fosters boldness and originality. Similar to contemporary jazz, Flamenco is influenced by and born of many cultures – Gypsy, Jewish, Moorish and indigenous Andalusian. It is infused with the politics and class struggles of these different ethnic groups.
