Rohan Grey joins Joe Ballegeer to discuss cryptocurrencies and the future of money. Rohan’s research focuses on the legal design and regulation of money and finance, including digital fiat currency, as well as broader issues of law and political economy. He is the research director of Digital Fiat Currency Institute and a consultant to the UN International Telecommunications Union’s Focus Group on Digital Currency. Rohan is also a research fellow with the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity based here in Kansas City. They discuss the challenges cryptocurrencies face in becoming a primary medium of exchange and the benefits of a Digital Fiat Currency.
