Current Issues With the American Energy Grid and Possible Solutions: a College Student Perspective

Four students currently enrolled in KU’s Environmental Studies Capstone course, Madisen K. Hane, Eleanor Read Walsh, Hannah Nuest, and Sloan M. Sprau have chosen to fulfill their Capstone by creating their own show and we are lucky to broadcast that show March 29th on EcoRadio KC.

Given the crisis that happened in Texas during the record-breaking cold temperatures in early 2021, the students want to discuss some of the current problems with our electricity grid, why this kind of crisis is likely to happen more and more due to climate change, and how we can make our electricity grids and the communities that rely on them more resilient.

We at EcoRadioKC are glad to encourage awareness and protection of our world. We can create a sustainable present for a sustainable future! Let’s hear the voices of our future!
