Discover the Virtue of Herbs

On May 10th, 2021, host Terri Wilke speaks with Lori Trojan, a herbalist who owns Wild Ivy Herb Farm, a 3-acre spot of beauty in Lawrence, Kansas where a vast variety of culinary and medicinal herbs are grown.  And Lori is not only a Master Gardener who knows how to grow them, she comes from a long line of humble herbal medicine women whose wisdom has been instilled by generations of natural healers.  She has been taught the secrets of preparing herbal salves, liniments, ointments, syrups, lozenges, tonics, tinctures, teas and more.

The mission of Wild Ivy Farm is to practice sustainable permaculture strategies in cultivating non-GMO medicinal, culinary and native herbs using organic methods. They offer herb plants, hand-crafted herbal products and interactive workshops about growing, harvesting, preparing and utilizing herbs in a multitude of formats.
