Donna C. Watson, J.D., author, money management and estate planning advocate and educator, discusses essential estate planning documents that individuals can create in the coming year to protect themselves and their families.

Donna C. Watson is a 1994 graduate of Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Missouri, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University – Chicago School of Law in 2001. Donna is a licensed attorney in Illinois, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Donna has over 12 years of experience in tax compliance and tax consulting. In 2004, Donna expanded her skill set into the areas of probate and estate planning.
She is currently a Trust Administrator with the Country Club Trust Company, N.A. in Kansas City, Missouri. In her role as a Trust Administrator, she oversees the day-to-day administration and operation of various trusts, estates, charitable entities, individual retirement accounts (IRAs), and investment management accounts.

In 2017, Donna opened The Legacy Experience, LLC,https://mylegacyexperience.com/, a consulting firm that provides estate planning resources to the community. Donna is a member of The Kansas City Estate Planning Society, The Mid America Charitable Gift Planners, and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar and Jackson County Bar Associations. Her civic memberships include Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Mu Omega Chapter, and The Links Incorporated, Greater Kansas City Chapter. Donna is a member of St. James United Methodist Church, Kansas City, Missouri.
