It is the intention of Jaws of Justice Radio to investigate how to achieve justice in America, this includes issues of economic injustice, political injustice and the criminal justice system. We want to put a human face on those caught in the grasp of injustice and those that are part of an unjust system. Evolving Magazine, What Does It Take To Put Together Your Own Publication?
Many of our guests on Jaws of Justice radio has given their testimony of how their religious faith has seen them through the difficulties of being a victim of crime, addiction or mental illness. Many others have spoken how their faith has helped them after they committed a crime and paid the price of conviction, incarceration, reentry and their own personal road to becoming a productive citizen. Something we have not spoken much about are some of the alternative spiritual paths that can be taken to help people heal from the wounds suffered and the wounds inflicted. Sometimes the hardest thing is getting the information to the people who need it most. Evolving Magazine is a resource for those who are looking for a mindful and spiritually aware life as well as a path to healing oneself.
Today Host Richard Tripp is speaking with Jill Daltton, the founder and editor of Evolving Magazine, one of Kansas City’s holistic magazines. They will be speaking about starting the magazine, why she started it and how she fills the pages, as well as where she wants to take the paper both here in Kansas City and the new edition set for publication in Santa Fe New Mexico.

What Makes A Crime A Hate Crime?
Margot Patterson talks with Mark Potok, a Senior Fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center about the anatomy of a hate crime and why there is such a designation. They talked about the numerous groups that are designated as hate groups and how they got that designation as well as the actions that make a crime a hate crime.
The Southern Poverty Law Center is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the Center works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality.
