Jaws of Justice Radio investigates how we can achieve justice from a system of laws deeply rooted in economic, social and political inequality. We want to dispel misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system. We hope you will listen.
Jaws of Justice will re-air David Bell’s Part 2 of the Justice Series, where he speaks to Erica Andrade, President and CEO of El Centro. Jaws of Justice originally broadcast this show on November 6, 2023. They will explore what justice means to her and the community she serves.
For 44 years, El Centro has been committed to serving our Latino community. At El Centro, the belief is that all individuals, regardless of language, place of birth or documentation status, deserve to be fully accepted and integrated into the communities in which they live, work and pursue their dreams.
El Centro is building an educated, healthy, financially empowered and engaged Latino community. Services offered include education for youth, community health programs, economic improvement options and advocacy for members of the Hispanic community.
Within the Hispanic community, there has been and is migration and discrimination. There is also a rich history of world changing accomplishment. Hispanic heritage is a great source of pride, but when faced with hatred, exclusion and other forms of bigotry, that pride can be hard to manifest in a meaningful way.
El Centro provides a positive and understanding hand. Actions of El Centro empower us all.
On Jaws of Justice, we examine how to find justice in our society. Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.
