ERICA ANDRADE OF EL CENTRO SPEAKS ON THE MEANING OF JUSTICE

Jaws of Justice Radio investigates how we can achieve justice from a system of laws deeply rooted in economic, social and political inequality.  We hope you will listen.

In Part 2 of his Justice Series, host David Bell speaks with Erica Andrade, President and CEO of El Centro, Inc.  They will explore what justice means to her and to the community she serves.

For 44 years, El Centro has been committed to serving our Latino community. At El Centro, the belief is that all individuals, regardless of language, place of birth or documentation status, deserve to be fully accepted and integrated into the communities in which they live, work and pursue their dreams.

At El Centro, we are building an educated, healthy, financially empowered and engaged Latino community.  Services offered include education for youth, community health programs, economic improvement options and advocacy for members of the Hispanic community.

There has been and is migration and discrimination.  There is also a rich history of world changing accomplishment.  Hispanic heritage is a great source of pride, but when faced with hatred, exclusion and other forms of bigotry, that pride can be hard to manifest in a meaningful way.

El Centro provides a positive and understanding hand.  Actions of El Centro empower us all.

On Jaws of Justice, we examine how to find justice in our society.  On Jaws of Justice, we examine how to find justice in our society.  Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.
