Operation Liberation is a Black led and Black centered non-profit organization focused on bailout and liberation work, that seeks the liberation, self-determination and equitable access to resources owed to Black people across the diaspora.
Operation Liberation is driven by a Black queer feminist lens and an abolitionist framework, which seeks to end cash bail and abolish the prison industrial complex. They are passionate about all forms of Black Liberation but remain focused on freeing our
Black siblings from the relentless pursuit of the state to terrorize, brutalize and monetize Black bodies. In addition Operation Liberation works with a deep partnership with Zekes Freedom Foundation and The Transgender Empowerment Society (led by Korea Kelly).
Recently they announced the creation of 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞. Freedom House is located on the Northside of KCMO in the oldest part of the city. The location has a significant amount of KC’s Black migrant community in this area, it is a central point for Black sex workers who we aim to support, and is easily accessible by public transportation.
