After becoming an empty nester it didn’t take long to realize that the parent/child relationship was no longer useful nor expected. There was a natural shift happening that required me to make some adjustments…understanding that I will always be Mama but, I had to learn how to develop a grown woman friendship with my daughters.
As some of you may know first hand…building a friendship with your adult children comes with a set of real challenges.
