Join me, Caroline Hammond: It’s the third Saturday of the month, so that means I will be live on my radio show Intentionally Fearless at 3 pm CST this Saturday! This month, I am joined by Julie Pratt, a licensed professional counselor who is celebrating her seventeenth year at Comprehensive Mental Health Services (CMHS) this month, the last five as president of the agency.
Julie has led CMHS through a successful merger with Burrell Behavioral Health, a Springfield based community mental health center, making CMHS part of the largest behavioral health system in the region. The merger took effect in January of 2022 under the parent company of Brightlight. One of the successful outcomes of this merger is a new Behavioral Crisis Center that is now open to the community in Eastern Jackson County.
Julie is passionate about helping to create a world in which people are comfortable talking about mental health and substance use and that individuals have access to the help they need.
Julie is a recent empty nester, as her daughter Sydney is completing her Freshman year at Missouri State University.
We will discuss Julie’s Superpower, both personally and professionally, with a focus on how to navigate the complexities of life as children age and life’s pathway takes unexpected twists.
