Join us for this week’s Every Woman, as we are delighted to welcome Kimmay Caldwell, Life Coach, and International Undergarment Educator.
When Kimmay was studying musical theater in New York City, she didn’t like what she saw in the mirror. Her inner dialog was worse than a gaggle of mean girls. The unfair expectations she put on herself, and her body stopped her from loving herself and allowing others to love her. It was after starting as a bra fitter in a small shop in NYC and seeing real people’s bodies – not the false perfection shown in the magazines – that she started to appreciate the gift that she had been given. She also started to see the beauty in others.
“What surprised me, was that almost every person who walked into the bra fitting room, mother of three, young, old, supermodel, breast cancer patient, trans individual; had something negative to say to themselves in the mirror. I was shocked! I knew something had to change. I knew I wanted to say hurray. I decided to change the conversation I was having with my body, and eventually my whole self, and to help other people do the same; like you!”
