EcoRadio KC is a magazine show, including live segments, prerecorded stories, and interviews. The weekly explores our interdependence with the rest of the world, showing the connections between the ways we choose to live and the health of the whole community of life.
For our show on August 8th host Richard Mabion speaks with three of the staff at Metropolitan Energy Center, Mary English, Program Manager, Building Performance, Brittanie Giroux, Building Performance Associate and Emily Wolfe, Sr. Program Coordinator and Policy Analyst. Their discussion is a continuance of Richard’s idea that neighborhoods need energy rehabilitation and the people who live in our neighborhoods can be the engineers and installers of these projects.
Improving the energy efficiency of a home will improve physical comfort in each season, allow the resident to gain healthier air quality and improved health, increase the property value and lower energy costs and bills. We’ve seen firsthand how communication can help Kansas and Missouri residents and businesses meet their own unique energy needs. For this reason, Metropolitan Energy Center is on EcoRadio KC to empower community members to use cleaner, and more efficient, energy solutions.
