Carvin Eison, RCTV’s General Manager and award-winning filmmaker and videographer, explains the legacy of Frederick Douglass in Rochester, NY, the famous statue erected in his honor, and current celebrations being organized in honor of his 200th birthday.

Ghislaine Radegonde-Eison, Program Manager of the Frederick Douglass Institute for African and African-American Studies at University of Rochester, describes educational institutions in Rochester honoring the city’s activist legacy and a message recently delivered by Frederick Douglass’ descendant.
