Richard’s guest this week is Huldah C Blamoville, M.D. Dr Blamoville is a pediatrician in St Louis and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital-St. Louis University and St. Louis Children’s Hospital-Washington University. She has been active against lead contamination involving children early in life and as they grow. Lead has recently been found in many St Louis Schools. Upholding standards that would eliminate the lead in the drinking water is a necessity to lessen the burden of emotional behavior and learning deficits, which can be the result of lead contaminated water.
Dr Blamoville has also been involved with lead contamination in the clinics of New York, London, and as the medical director of the lead evaluation clinic in Saint Louis. She has also been researching the impacts of climate change on asthma and allergies.
