GLOBAL ENERGY INCREASE IS A CHALLENGE, NOT A BARRIER, TO THRIVE

EcoRadio KC is glad to encourage awareness and protection of our world.  Our goal is to ensure our listeners are aware of how we can create a sustainable present for a sustainable future! It will take us all to make the world safe for habitation for millennia to come.  This will be a great radio hour!

On EcoRadio KC, host Richard Mabion will speak with Richard Gutowski and Jeffrey Severin.  Richard Gutowski is an advisor to Richard Mabion so that they can help us all map our way through global energy increase.  They are interested in people having health and the ability to have good jobs to support interests and families.  Jeffrey Severin is Associate Director with Heartland Environmental Justice Center, a Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center, which, together with their partners, works with frontline communities for social mobility, environmental and energy justice, and climate resilience.

The Heartland EJ Center is a first-stop resource for communities seeking help with pressing environmental justice and energy equity challenges. They offer no cost, customized support to strengthen communities’ ability to identify challenges, plan and implement solutions, and work towards achieving their community goals. Their support varies in scope and scale depending on community need, from light-touch guidance, like navigating communities to existing resources, to medium-touch support, such as preparation for grant applications or facilitating a community needs assessment; or building a project budget, and also intensive assistance, like policy analysis or technical and engineering expertise.

On this episode of EcoRadio KC, our topic is the need for meaningful change to build a future where all communities can thrive. Money generally adds privilege, as it provides people with opportunities that those without financial means may not have had access.  Opportunity allows people to make choices and navigate life with greater ease; like better housing, healthcare, education, and more choices in lifestyle.

We support the work for a future in which humans flourish as members of a thriving ecosphere. We are all in this together and it will take all of us to make the world safe. This will be a great radio hour!
