On November 8, 2021, EcoRadio KC will feature host David Mitchell speaking with Sherry Ellms, MA, of Naropa University in Boulder Colorado.

Sherry is an Associate Professor at Naropa University, and she has taught in the Resilient Leadership, Ecopsychology Masters Programs, and Environmental Studies Department.  She is a senior accomplished meditation teacher, author, and activist. As the Faculty Lead of the Joanna Macy Center for Resilience and Regeneration at Naropa, she has worked closely with Joanna Macy and is a facilitator of her root teachings, the Work That Reconnects. She has trained with the School of Lost Borders in Wilderness Rites of Passage, and with Jon Kabat Zinn in Mindfully Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She works at the intersection of nature, contemplative practices, and social and ecological justice and has presented at conferences and led retreats internationally.  She leads wilderness solos and nature-based programs bringing forth the power and insight of the natural world.
