Temps and The Poverty of Work and Here We Go Again – War in Iran: A Labor Viewpoint

This week on the Heartland Labor Forum, we talk to David Van Arsdale about his book on temp work. It’s a chilling look and argues that temp agencies should have been abolished with slavery, or at the very least, put under strict government control. He says they’re super-profitable traps of despair and poverty for the workers. Then, with tensions ratcheting toward war with Iran—Michael Zweig, of US Labor Against War gives us a historical, working class perspective about how war with Iran threatens workers and our planet. Thursday at 6pm, rebroadcast Friday at 5am.
