Jaws of Justice Radio investigates how we can achieve justice from a system of laws deeply rooted in economic, social and political inequality. We want to dispel misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system. We hope you will listen.
Join host Terri Wilke as she speaks with Rhonda Herring, mother of Brandon “Mac Bear” Herring, who was murdered in Kansas City. It has been 7 years since Brandon “Mac Bear” Herring was found after being murdered, and still no answers!
Brandon “Mac Bear” Herring was last seen on November 22, 2016. His remains were found in Swope Park near 67th and Lewis Rd. on January 17, 2017.
Rhonda Herring has not stopped fighting for answers and validation since the day her son was murdered. She continues to support other mothers/fathers and family members of homicide victims. She is a voice for justice in our community. The homicide remains unsolved. Crime is too common in Jackson County, Missouri. Crime victims and their families suffer greatly.

We will play our calendar at the midpoint of the hour.
During the second half of our hour, host Terri Wilke will speak with Jordan Bell, Public Information Officer with the Kansas Department of Corrections and David Nabb, Public Service Administrator at the Kansas Department of Corrections. Our topic will be Garden4Good, a gardening program at Hutchinson Correctional Institution which began in 2011 and grows enough fresh fruits and vegetables to feed the facility and they share the rest with community partners. Part of the Kansas Extension Service education and extension programs, Garden4Good is doing a great job of impacting lives at Hutchinson Correctional Facility. To quote an inmate, “When I come out to the garden, I am out of prison, I’m in the garden. It puts my mind at ease.”
Garden4Good teaches a skill, provides a better quality of fresh food to eat at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility, builds patience and helps inmates feel a sense of accomplishment.
On Jaws of Justice, we examine how to find justice in our society. Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.
