The One Kansas City Radio Spotlight is collection of programming produced and broadcasted by One Kansas City Radio (KONN-LP 100.1 FM).
Today’s program begins with Nuestra Herencia, where Gene Chavez interviews Latina author Angela Cervantes Anteveras. Angela recounts her childhood and discusses why her stories feature strong female characters. Part 2 provides a rebroadcast of the Youth 4 Change KC podcast of “Do You Even Care?” – a podcast that aims to raise awareness of youth homelessness in the Kansas City metro area. This episode features an interview which details the real-life story of a youth who has experienced homelessness and housing instability as she grew up. Youth 4 Change KC wants to inspire the Kansas City metro to get involved and support organizations that aim to end youth homelessness in our community.
