Is It Really the End of Lean Production? and KC and the Pregnancy Fairness Act

Ever wonder why every system we deal with is on the verge of overload? In the 1980’s management adopted “Lean Production” to keep workers and consumers constantly under stress and our global supply chain perpetually on the brink of collapse. We’ll talk about it this week on the Heartland Labor Forum. Then here’s some good news: Earlier this year, Kansas City passed a local ordinance to implement the federal Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. Councilwoman Ryana Parks-Shaw and Civil Rights Investigations Supervisor Daniel O’Conner will talk about implementation.  For help with pregnancy discrimination in KCMO call 816-513-1836.
