Latin Explosion is a musical journey through the vast world of 20th Century salsa, latin jazz and Cuban music with host Juan Montenegro. Latin Explosion originally aired daily on Chicago radio in the 70’s and 80’s. Different artists will be highlighted every Friday, so each show will be unique.
Latin Explosion makes it’s KKFI debut with 20th Century Salsa, Latin Jazz & Afro Cuban music. El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, singer/leader Juan Luis Guerra, percussionist, trumpet, flugelhorn/leader Jerry Gonzalez (1949-2018), Grupo Folklorico y Experimental de New York City and a little bit more!
