Voodoo Kittens
The Voodoo Kittens offer a special breed of afternoon blues entertainment. We start with the old masters and end up with contemporary blues. Along the way, the Kittens keep it real by throwing in musical styles which are offshoots of blues or were heavily influenced by and/or blended with blues to produce new sounds: rockabilly, R&B, early soul, country, jazz, zydeco, Cajun, swamp pop, and anything else that might temporarily sway our feline senses.
Join Ms. Katnip to hear local Kansas City musician Lauren Anderson and her band perform live in the KKFI studio. Lauren has a new self-released EP, “Do & Hope”. Her four-piece Rock/Pop/Soul group features Kristopher Schnebelen (formerly from Trampled Under Foot), Dylan Reiter (from Brandon Miller Band) and Adam Stuber. Ms. Katnip will also be spinning many new releases and featuring bands who will be performing in Kansas City this upcoming week.
