Letting Go Of Resistance: A Constant Rebirth with Guy Finley

Guy Finley tells us that on a day to day basis our lives are a kind of “constant hopping from one identity to another.” He describes this as the location from which we are operating. He suggests we ask ourselves the question: Are we choosing the location of fear and anxiety, which supports knee-jerk reactions, or one of mindfulness and a tuning into our true nature? He further intimates that when anxiety becomes our guide it is “not our true nature; it is a reaction that belongs to our past.” And it is always “preceded by resistance.” Paradoxically, rather than a bad thing, resistance itself can have meaning and purpose. He says, “There is an elegance to resistance… the resistance is the revelation of our old nature…anything in me that resists a moment, separates me from the lessons the moment could give me… It brings consciousness into what has been unconscious.” Finley takes us on a whirlwind tour of awakening to our true nature. He declares that the purpose of our existence on this planet is to use each moment as an opportunity to grow, to allow a new awareness to be born. (hosted by Justine Willis Toms)
