Local Showcase
The Local ShowCase features live or recorded performances of music, poetry, prose, etc. of local and regional artists. This showcase is hosted by a variety of KKFI programmers covering a broad spectrum of musical genres.
Join us for a very special edition of The Local Showcase on KKFI 90.1 FM hosted by Kasey Rausch Music, (producer and host of River Trade Radio, Sundays 9-11am on KKFI), and Kimmy DeVries, the woman behind I Love KC Music blog.
In the first hour, Kimmy honors Pride Month and the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots. Bill of HearQueer joins us in the studio to join in the conversation about what’s shakin’ in the LGBTQ music community and beyond.
In the 9 o’clock hour, Kasey hosts Kian Byrne live in the studio. Kian started on the fiddle at age 3. He’s a multi-instrumentalist and a songwriter who currently tours with The Elders all around the US and overseas.
Kasey also plays some new KC Soul releases.
