Los Alamos National Labs Expansion

Greg Mello of the Los Alamos Study Group speaks on the proposed expansion of Los Alamos National Labs (LANL) into a Plutonium Pit Factory. The 13 billion dollar plan doubles structures at LANL, upgrades existing buildings and adds 2 highways on the Santa Fe National Forest, crossing proposed wilderness areas with a new bridge across the Rio Grande, possibly the highest in the nation. The proposed plutonium pit factory would replace long closed, accident prone Rocky Flats to produce 80 pits per year for a quarter trillion dollar new weapons system. Info: LASG.org
