Mabion appointed to the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council

Long-time Kansas City activist Richard Mabion was recently appointed to the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC), which advises the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on broad, cross-cutting issues related to environmental justice.  He represents EPA Region 7, which consists of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. He founded Building a Sustainable Earth Community.  He is a former president of the NAACP of Kansas City, Kansas, as well as a one of the statewide leaders of the Kansas Sierra Club.
