Missouri CURE Advocates, Hedy Harden and Maria Miller, talk with Keith Brown El and Ed Pennington

Jaws of Justice Radio Hour will feature hosts Keith Brown El and Ed Pennington talking with Hedy Harden, the chairperson of Missouri Citizens United for the Rehabilitation of Errants (CURE) and Maria Miller, also a CURE member, both from St Louis.   CURE is an all-volunteer non-profit criminal justice advocacy organization.  As a prisoners’ rights organization, members of Missouri CURE are particularly concerned with conditions in Missouri prisons, where COVID 19 outbreaks are disastrous due to close quarters, regular physical contact between guards and prisoners, and the underlying chronic health conditions of many confined people.

Missouri CURE wrote an open letter to Missouri Gov. Michael Parson on March 26, 2020.   On our show, we will discuss Missouri CURE’s recommendations, what was done and what has not been done.
