At 11:15 Mark talks with legendary anti-folk artist Paleface. Mentored in songwriting by Daniel Johnston in 1989, in New York City, Paleface was a friend and roommate of Beck who credits him as an early influence. In 1990 Danny Fields (manager of The Stooges, The Ramones, MC5, and The Doors) discovered Paleface at a NYC open mic, and signed on as his manager. Paleface has released 17 albums, and toured with Crash Test Dummies, Billy Bragg, The Breeders and performed with: The Moldy Peaches, Langhorne Slim, Regina Spektor, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Avett Brothers. Paleface plays Davey’s Uptown Ramblers Club, 3402 Main St. KCMO, Wed.
