Beth Hill – Developing Job Readiness With Women In The Topeka Correctional Center

Beth Hill, Job Readiness Coach, Washburn Institute of Technology, will be talking about some of the educational vocational rehab type programs that she offers at the women’s prison in Topeka. She previously had been an instructor of speech and director of theatre at Maple Woods Community College in KCMO. Her program is under a grant which ends in September unless they find another funding source.

Host Craig Lubow talks with Beth Hill, a Job Readiness Specialist, about her work with women preparing to leave the Topeka, Kansas Correctional Center.

Corey’s Network and the Chuck E Cheese at 18701 E. 39th st,Independence Mo are once again teaming up to help pay for the funeral expenses of a victim of murder, on Friday, July 13th, from 3-9pm. 15% of all purchases at the register including food, merchandise, and token deals will go to help bury victims of murder under the age of 12. Mothers of Incarcerated Sons and Daughters will have their monthly meeting Saturday, July 14th, from noon to 2pm at the Waldo Branch Library, 201 East 75th Street, KCMO If you have a loved one that is incarcerated and need advice and support MISD has members that may be able to help.
